Siberian Husky
If your husky is lazy, you may wonder why and what you can do about it. This post shows why it holds true and what you can do to stop it. So why is my husky so lazy? The conceivable reason is that it is naturally lazy, it is old, boring, sick, its dietary problems, depression, not getting enough exercise or is too hot. There are a few things you can consider when trying to understand why your husky is lazy. Depending on the cause, there are many things you can do about it.

Why You Think Your Husky Is Lazy

Each of the different reasons your husky was lazy probably comes with some clues. The following is a possible reason for it and more likely.

Natural

The cause of being lazy may be that it is naturally lazy. This is not very common in husky, but it can happen. This would be more likely if your husky was always lazy and it suddenly didn’t become lazy. If it appears to be inherently lazy, be thankful that it is not destructive. There are a lot of husky owners and I love it if it’s easy to settle down, but it’s natural, so you don’t have to worry.

Age

If your husky becomes gradually lazy as you get older, it’s likely that you’re lazy for that age. As dogs get older, they become less energetic because they no longer have enough strength to move around and take more energy around.

Boring

The reason your husky could be lazy is that it could be boring. This is more likely to explode into life when it’s not happening much to stimulate it, and when something funny happens when you try to take it out for a walk. If you think it’s because of boredom, it helps to continue to be stimulated by exercising and playing with it, playing with yourself and training it.

Diet

Cause your husky is lazy, there may be a problem with that diet. This is more likely if you suddenly become lazy around the same time you changed your diet. You can see here to see what you should be feeding it and what should not be.

Illness or injury

The cause may have been sick or injured. This would be more likely if your husky suddenly became lazy and it shows other signs of illness or injury. If it appears to be sick or injured, it will be the best option to take it to the vet.

Depression

The reason your husky is acting lazy is that it may have depression. This is more likely if another pet suddenly begins to slack off after something that may have caused depression, such as dying, the owner leaving, or recently adopted it. If it seems to have depression, it’s likely to improve in a few weeks. But you can help by giving it exercise, positive attention, by training it and playing with it.

It’s too hot.

If it’s hot outside, the reason your husky is lazy may be due to the heat. In this case, it helps to give access to cool water or shaded areas. It also helps to walk it early in the morning, or in the evening when the sun is not directly overhead.

Lack of exercise

Husky is a breed that should do a lot of exercise every day. Huskies generally recommend exercising one hour a day. If your husky isn’t getting that much and the vet doesn’t find any problems, it will help you make sure your husky gets exercise.

If your husky has always been lazy, it is more likely to be attributed to its nature, but you may have supplied it wrong. If you are constantly feeding it in the same way, it will help you to ask the vet if you are supplying it correctly.

take it to the vet if you’re not sure
